I hope that this post will show up on internet searches. I just returned from a trip to New Orleans. I was not at all sure what restaurants would be able to accomodate me with my gluten free diet.
Red Fish Grill www.redfishgrill.com was fabulous. They told us that we would not be exposed to gluten on their watch. They had a yellow card stating "No gluten" attached to our order. Plus the wait staff had to alert the manager that an order with a food allergy was being put in. It was so reassuring. They did not have a specific "Gluten Free" menu but made suggestions.
NOLA www.emeril.com was great too.
